Grand Theft Auto V has many interesting characters of all different personalities populating its game world.
In a first for a Grand Theft Auto title; Grand Theft Auto V features three playable characters; each with very different personalities and lifestyles. They do however have one desire in common - to make money; and in order to make money throughout the course of the game, these three characters will have to pull off a series of heists.
Michael De SantaOf the three characters, Michael seems the most acquainted with society after having worked a life of crime - he's in his 40's, he's retired with a big mansion in Rockford Hills, he has a wife, and he has two kids. From the outside, it would seem that he is the perfect family man. On the inside, however, his family is highly dysfunctional; and he isn't as contempt with his family life as one would initially believe. Although Michael is capable of handling difficult situations with ease; his major flaw is his big ego, which often conflicts with other characters with big personalities. Michael is voiced by Ned Luke. |
Franklin ClintonA young up-and-coming street hustler from the ghettos of South Los Santos in his mid 20's, Franklin is growing tired of the ghetto life, convinced that he is "surrounded by morons", and crime-wise, believes he is destined for bigger things. Franklin is the first character that you play as; however he will soon meet up with Michael as well as, eventually, Trevor. Franklin is the best driver out of the three protagonists. Franklin is voiced by Shawn Fonteno. |
Trevor PhilipsWith a very extreme personality and short temper, Trevor has often been described as a very difficult person to deal with. Any person who wrongs him in any way, whether it be friend or foe, usually leads to a fist to the 'offender's' face; and gets pleasure out of injuring or killing others. His addiction to meth may also fuel this erratic personality which often conflicts with that of other characters. Trevor lives out in Sandy Shores, Blaine County; miles away from any form of civilized society. He is also the leader of Trevor Philips Enterprises; which specialises in arms trading, drug dealing and methamphetamine production. Trevor is voiced by Steven Ogg. |
